On Presidential Nominations

For most Democrats in 2008, the choice for their party’s candidate was governed by the thought “anybody but Bush.” For most Republicans in 2012, the choice comes down to “anybody but Ron Paul.” Most members of the GOP reflect the continuing collapse of the American culture by limiting their preferences for the White House to an ever-changing list of third-rate losers. The under-40 aged crowd is an encouraging exception; one that will likely relegate the McCains, Giulianis, Santorums, Gingriches, and other DC trough-feeders to the footnotes of  unread books.
