OMG! Flu Cases Reported in Michigan.

When I heard this on the radio on the way home from work today, I burst out laughing: twelve cases of the flu have been reported and confirmed thus far this flu season in the state of Michigan.

Michigan Department of Community Health Director James Haveman said in a statement Monday that the flu vaccine is the “single best way” to protect against the illness.

So … who actually “reports” the flu when they get the flu? I have never reported the flu to any authorities, nor has anyone else who I have ever known. When I used to get the flu, I figured that my various bodily rejections, nausea, headaches, and general suckiness was my business, and “reporting” that would have been TMI (Too Much Information) for anyone, including my closest, dearest friends.

Also, what is the official “season” for the flu? The fact that it is identified as a season, with the tracking of all known cases, means there has to be an official start, as well as an end. Always, this hype begins predictably, with most of these rinse-and-repeat media organs reporting the customary revelation: “There’s an “ample” supply of flu vaccine this year, health officials say.” Indeed, all the little Flu Czars are lamenting the fact that in spite of all of the Government-Big Pharma propaganda and vaccination nation hysteria last year, Americans were consistently absent at the poke-a-rama last year. From FiercePharma:

As flu season approaches, vaccines companies are working against the odds to market their influenza vaccines. Last year, the overall U.S. vaccination rate was about 42%–a far cry from the target rates of 80% for people ages 6 months to 65 years and 90% for those older than 65.

Vaccination rates ran the gamut in the 2011-2012 influenza season. For children between 6 months and 23 months, it was 75%, while just over a third of adolescents received the jab, according to the CDC. About 39% of adults were vaccinated, Reuters reports.

…But judging by vaccination rates from the previous flu season, the manufactuerers–CSL, GlaxosmithKline ($GSK), ID Biomedical, AstraZeneca’s ($AZNMedImmune, Novartis ($NVS) and Sanofi Pasteur–will all be hoping for a change of pace.

They don’t even hide it anymore, which makes this whole sham ripe for condemnation.
