Email Print

Fellow Ohioans, don’t forget that you can see Ron Paul and Judge Andrew Napolitano (buy his book!) tape Freedom Watch live on Monday, March 8, at 7:00 p.m. at the Newport Music Hall in Columbus!

Non-Ohioans, sorry for bothering you with this. But consider it a challenge to set up something this cool in your part of the country. The folks at the Ohio Freedom Alliance and the Ohio State Young Americans for Liberty chapter have done amazing work on this and other big events (including a Tom Woods lecture that drew a huge crowd of students and others).

Local Politicians and Activists to be Featured on National News Show
FoxNews.com Program “Freedom Watch with Judge Napolitano” to be filmed live at OSU

COLUMBUS, OH, March 5, 2010 — The Ohio State University Young Americans for Liberty will host Texas Congressman Ron Paul (R) and Fox News Judicial Analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano for a live taping of “Freedom Watch with Judge Napolitano,” featuring local politicians and activists, on Monday, March 8, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the historic Newport Music Hall.

The show will center on local Ohio politics and issues. Featured local guests include Sen.Tim Grendell, Maurice Thompson of the 1851 Center for Constitutional Law, and OSU Alum and former state Rep. Ron Hood. Local activists, Chris Littleton of the Cincinnati Tea Party, Jason Rink of the Ohio Freedom Alliance and Ohio Liberty Council, Alicia Healy of the Campaign for Liberty, and Dave Grabaskas from the OSU chapter of Young Americans for Liberty will also appear on the show to discuss grassroots activities within the state.

At the conclusion of “Freedom Watch,” Congressman Paul will discuss the importance of liberty and how young people can effect change within the political system. Longtime congressman Dr. Ron Paul, whose popularity grew during his 2008 presidential run, has enjoyed greater exposure in the media during this past year. His popularity with young Americans, and now also with conservative Republicans, propelled Paul to victory in the CPAC 2012 presidential straw poll last month.

Judge Andrew Napolitano served on the New Jersey Bench and taught at the Seton Hall School of Law before retiring to pursue his television career, joining Fox News in 1998. Napolitano addressed a crowd of over 10,000 in Columbus on August 1, 2009. He now hosts “Freedom Watch with Judge Napolitano” on FoxNews.com’s Strategy Room and has a new book entitled, “Lies the Government Told You: Myth, Power, and Deception in American History.”

There will be a press conference with Rep. Ron Paul starting at 4pm at the OSU Faculty Club. Doors open at the Newport at 6:15pm.

This event is free and open to the public.
