Oh, the Irony!

This week, “on a 33-26 vote, the House Armed Services Committee approved a religious freedom amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The amendment, authored by U.S. Rep. John Fleming, R-La., protects the right of service members not only to hold religious beliefs but to act on them and freely practice those beliefs.”

Good to know. Since murder, rape, and theft, even when euphemized as “war,” violate every “religious belief” on the planet, I expect a mass exodus of all “hold[ers of] religious beliefs” from the Evil Empire’s various gangs of uniformed thugs.

Meanwhile, the hopelessly confused clods at the Family Research Council are concerned not at the sinfulness of Christians who murder and thieve at Leviathan’s request, but that the satanic State prohibits them from advertizing their Christianity doing so: “I commend the House Armed Services Committee for taking decisive action to protect the right of service members to freely practice and express their faith,” prattled the Family Research Council’s  president, Tony Perkins.

Um, Tony? If a guy handed me a Bible after bombing my home and massacring my village … well, let’s just say that maybe, for the first time ever, the State is serving the cause of Christ by prohibiting its killers from identifying themselves as hypocrites-sorry, believers.
