On one forum someone used the terms “redemption,” “believer”, and “ecstatic,” in describing the attachment of a voter to Obama. Obama is a God-replacement. A google search on Obama redemption brought up an article of interest with a November 5, 2008 dateline. It’s by Kyle-Anne Shiver.
She says some things that I would have said given the time to write an article on this. She understands the replacement of God by political ideologies: “Substituting the state for God as provider has been the inherent common thread in all Marxist regimes.” Also fascist regimes.
