I tuned into MSNBC last night, not a smart thing to do, and saw Chris Matthews. This self-confessed Machiavellian was shocked, shocked at the new Nixon tapes. Now Nixon was a murderer – he was, after all, POTUS – and so is his partner in war crime, Henry Kissinger, patron to Tim Geithner. But I loved it when Nixon wanted to declassify intelligence files on “the Cuban Missile Crisis, on the Bay of Pigs, World War II and Korea” to hurt the Democrats. Go, Dick, go! But Nixon, the creep, never did it.
