A published poll finds that Barack Obama is in a “statistical dead heat against a nameless Republican” for the 2012 presidential race. Isn’t it interesting that Obama — who became president by virtue of an “anybody but Bush” popular sentiment — may now lose the 2012 race to an “anybody but Obama” candidate! Perhaps all of this is just a way of confirming the old saying that “in America, ANYONE can become president.”
