NSA: the Never Successful Agency

Norm LeDonne reminded me that we needn’t resort to a tragedy from six years ago if we’re discussing the NSA’s colossal failures:

How about the shooting of the two police officers in New York? The killer not only shot his girlfriend, but posted online that he was going to kill police officers. I dunno. One would think this all-powerful NSA that is so terrified of foreign terrorists would be able to read connect the dots that two of their own were going to be killed.

If we must have a police-state, give me an incompetent one. Indeed, ours seems to be as inept at spying on us as it is victorious when it comes to increasing its budget and powers.
