If you’re going to spend time on a complicated conspiracy theory then why mess around? These folks argue that 297 years were disappeared from the calendar and the early Middle Ages (614-911 A.D.) never happened. Throw in some nefarious forward forging of documents by the Catholics and I think you’ve got a real winner here.
