Notes from Bushworld

So the Bushies think they can make their own reality. I knew some people in college who also thought they could make their own reality…wonder if the Bushies like Ding-Dongs, Pizza and the Greatful Dead?

Julian Sanchez points out that the debates showed that Bush lives in a bubble surrounded by people who never question him, thus he is unprepared to deal with those who do not get their opinions from FOX. Isn’t one of the first signs of an empire’s impending demise when the courtesans start protecting the emperor from the truth?
In 1994, the GOP favored abolishing the Department of Education, but
Bush
has made education a new civil right. This may be one reason why Bishop Henry Jackson thinks Bush will do well among black voters. Bishop Jackson is also impressed by Bush’s willingness to spend American blood and treasure in Africa and his domestic blending of faith-based welfare with an authoritarian social agenda. Only a cold-hearted cynic (like me) would suggest that the reason some “mega-churches” lean to Bush is because they hope to get taxpayer monies courtesy of W’s “faith-based” initiative.
