ABC is running a promo on their web site for the inaugural ball, “the biggest party the country has ever seen.” It will star “our new commander-in-chief, Barack Obama.”
Grrrrr! He is not “our” commander-in-chief, unless “we” happen to be sojers, sailors, airmen and Marines. Last time I checked, I was not, unless I’ve been drafted and wasn’t told.
But eventually, when the world wakes up from the happy party, it will realize that Obama IS the new face of murderous American power and American empire. And that power will not change willingly. It matters not the color of the whip hand; what matters is the lash itself, and the willingness to use. Obama will use it, sooner or later. That will be a very interesting day…
