My three daughters grew up watching the “Little House on the Prairie” programs. Has anyone else who watched this series observed that Walnut Grove had no sheriff or police officers; that on the rare occasions when a criminal problem arose the people – sometimes just the kids – took care of it on their own without having to create an institution in the process?
