No doubt, Paul Krugman would approve

Who says that government medicine isn’t political? In Great Britain, a 75-year-old anti-abortion activist mailed pictures of aborted fetuses to Queen Elizabeth II. For that he received 28 days in jail. However, that was not all:

“Edward Atkinson, a 75-year-old anti-abortion activist, was jailed recently for 28 days for sending photographs of aborted foetuses to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn, Norfolk. That draconian sentence was not deemed punishment enough: the hospital has banned Mr Atkinson from receiving the hip replacement operation he was expecting.”

Paul Krugman, who seems to be the main shill for socialist medicine, declared in a recent column that the “horror stories” about medical socialism were false, and that a Canadian/British style program for us would give us better care at lower costs. My guess is that Krugman would be in full approval of the British decision.
