Nice letter

This very nice letter was sent to me, and I thought I would share it with you all. My response is below.

July 10, 2014

Dr. Block,

My name is Ian Minielly and I became an avid reader of LRC back around 2004 or 2005. Over the years I became a huge fan of yours amongst the many contributors to the site and Mises. Thank you for doing what you do and standing in the breach against the rising tide of tyranny. It is men like you and the others at LRC and Mises that are doing the job of unveiling the eyes of the masses so handfuls continue waking from the dream/spell government has them under.

I started a book club at work three months ago and this month we are reading Defending the Undefendable. This is our third book as we are doing one book/month. I am using your book to expose my colleagues at work to a better reality. One that does not include government tyranny in the form of regulations and laws that are themselves indefensible in the harm they cause and their constant need of modification because they lack any semblance of truth. Only truth does not need constant revisions to get it right. Take the Bible as an example of truth that does not need constant revision.

I wanted to thank you for your efforts over the decades and to ask you to continue doing what you do. I am using our book club to counter prevailing opinion in America and thought you would enjoy hearing how your writing is being used. We will be discussing the book on the 28th, if there is anything in particular you would like me to mention, please feel free to email me your suggestions or thoughts.

Thank you for your time,
Ian

Dear Ian:
