Newt’s Political Comeback?

Last Saturday, I received a telemarketing call from someone who first played a Newt Gingrich tape and then asked some “push-poll” questions. I told her that I would play no part in any attempt by Newt Gingrich to make a political comeback.

First, I reminded her that Newt’s own behavior discredited his “family values” line, as the man has made a mockery of his marriages. Second, I told her that when the Republicans were in power, they were big spenders and paved the way for the current crisis.

Gingrich was driven into political exile for good reason, and while I despise the current political regime in Washington, I also must point out that the Republicans vehemently have rejected the one elected representative who has been telling the truth all along: Ron Paul.
