New York Times irrelevance exposed

The Daily Show asks The New York Times why anyone would want to acquire news through such a ridiculously outdated medium. (Here’s a summary of the piece) The living fossils who work there have no response. What is most telling is that I can only surmise that The Times gave The Daily Show access to their offices assuming that The Daily Show would make them look good. Of course, The Daily Show is probably an exotic animal to the members of the NYT management who probably still think email is cutting edge.

In related news, The New York Times Company is accepting bids for the Boston Globe in an effort to unload that failing newspaper.

Update: there was something wrong with the old link. The new one works.
