Neocon Tony Blankley

Tony, TV presence, editorial page editor of the Washington Times, former press secretary to Newt Gingrich, and–his real claim to fame–former high-school classmate of David Gordon, was attacking Ron Paul on MSNBC last night.

Tony, a well-ensconced member of the establishment, was shrill and slightly hysterical as he said Ron was crazy, couldn’t win, wasn’t going anywhere, wouldn’t get any votes, and “couldn’t buy respect no matter how much money he raises from his off-the-wall supporters” (an approximate but accurate quote).

Buy whose respect, Tony? Yours? It was funny to watch the slight sheen of sweat on his face, and his popping, alarmed eyes. He looked like Washington, DC, incarnate.
