Doggone it all, what will I do on Saturdays without my quota of junk mail?
You might think the USPS the only game in town and that it delivered something of actual value rather than catalogs and dubious coupons for places you’d never patronize, to hear the unions and other statists carry on. You might further suppose that even these miscreants would blush to clamor for an inefficient, monopolistic Post Office, given the prevalence and convenience of the internet, telephones, Fed Ex, UPS, etc. But no.
Good riddance to the bad trash — quite literally — of mail on Saturdays. I’d welcome this news even more were my taxes going to reflect the “savings” of $2 billion. Alas, government wouldn’t be government in that case.
