Astronaut Neil Armstrong has died. NASA is one of the Republican’s favorite government programs. (I was going to say that I didn’t mention the Democrats because I don’t know of any government program that is not one of their favorites. But actually, isn’t that true of the Republicans as well? Name one government program they eliminated when they controlled the White House and both Houses of Congress for over four years under Bush.) Armstrong’s death will no doubt be used to focus attention on NASA and the need for a larger space budget–which Romney the Republican will deliver.
