Nader’s Entry

Ralph Nader was interviewed on one of the cable “news” channels last night. He has been a very hot media story ever since he entered the presidential race, and why not? Unlike Ron Paul, Nader poses no real threat to the established political order. Each man is very critical of the Iraq war – as well as the war mentality – but Nader (unlike Paul) would simply reallocate war money to other government programs (e.g., health care). Nader is a minor annoyance to the power structure, unlike Paul, whose programs would strip the state of much of its accreted power.

When asked if he has been able to raise any money since announcing his candidacy, Nader stated that he has already raised $200,000. WOW! No mention was made by the network parrot that Ron Paul, on two different days, raised, . . . how many millions was that?

Another news channel reported that an opinion poll asked people whether, if a choice of “none of the above” was available on the presidential ballots, they would select that option. 81% said “yes.”
