Mourn on the Fourth of July

Some Christians in Minneapolis “held a worship service and picnic this Fourth of July — but instead of extolling the virtues of America, they called attention to its faults.” In other words, they were not guilty of military idolatry like so many Christians and churches were on the Sunday before or after the Fourth of July. How unpatriotic, these Christians didn’t say the Pledge to the Flag in church, they didn’t sing patriotic hymns in church, and they didn’t have all the veterans were their uniforms to church. Sounds like my kind of church.
