More thoughts on Beat the Press

From David Henderson:

Russert did remind me of various politicians jumping from point to point, trying to score a hit. I don’t want watch Russert very much, but I’m wondering: does he usually go 30 minutes without an ad? It seemed to me that he thought he had Ron Paul on the ropes and he kept trying to score the knockout punch. I can just imagine the producer in the studio going berserk, trying to get Russert to cut for a break. Russert fell flat with the drug war issue and the Civil Rights issue. I think he was stunned that Paul had the balls to answer honestly–Russert had no fuel in the tank. I think we got to see just how small an intellect Russert has.
