Tom: Would those who oppose nullification also accept the defense made by Nazi war criminals at Nuremberg: “W were only following orders”? Aren’t those who insist upon obedience to federal mandates — despite the moral or other philosophic principles being violated — casting aside the Nuremberg doctrine that people are responsible for their actions, and cannot avoid liability by pleading that a higher authority had mandated their behavior?
