More Creepy Totalitarianism During the Busholini Regime

Drudge reports today that NBC refused to sell airtime for a commercial for the Dixie Chicks’ new documentary, “Shut Up and Sing.” The documentary is about how the full force of red state fascism was brought down on the Chicks after one of them said at a concert, “we’re ashamed that the president of the United States is from Texas.” Country radio blacklisted them, other country music stars trashed them publicly, talk radio turned them into Public Enemy Number One, and more.

Here’s what America has become and another reason why Paul Craig Roberts may be right when he says “America is finished”: NBC announced that it was turning down the commercial because the network
cannot accept the spots as they are disparaging to President Bush.”

And how is this different from the normal state affairs under the Saddam Hussein regime?
