Lew: Let me see if I heard this discussion correctly: people who strongly object to the conflict and warmongering practiced by American and British politicians are potential “terrorists,” while those who manage the war system for their own ends are not to be condemned? And who is called upon to discuss this proposition but the great-grandson of Winston Churchill, one of the major architects and practitioners of World Wars I and II? Does Beck not understand how his — and other media trumpeters — defenses of statism help to generate the growing disaffection so many have with this system?
