Mom overruled by government

Some weeks ago I was in New Orleans visiting friends and family. It was late and the group headed back to the hotel bar for one last drink and to start the good-byes. My wife’s niece was there with her mom. So when we went to the bar, my wife’s underage niece was told by the bartender that she could not sit there even with her mom right next to her. She could not apparently even order a Coke or approach the bar to get a glass of water.

This was to me a “sobering” close encounter of the worst kind. The State is above the family. Parents mean nothing and they cannot be trusted.
