That’s the logical conclusion of this P.R. flack’s silly screed about drug prohibition and Ron Paul, Jacob. He praises his former boss, Dub-Yuh, who he characterizes as a former alcoholic who “shared” his stories of alcoholism when he first began running for president (after God supposedly told him to do so, according to Dub-Yuh himself). Gerson’s moral role model — the man who lied us into war in Iraq and who is therefore responsible for the unnecessary death of thousands — would possibly have been spared the agony of alcoholism if only the U.S. resurrected 1920s-style prohibition. If drug prohibition is good for the well-being of drug addicts, then alcohol prohibition is good for the well-being of alcohol addicts.
Why are you so uncaring and cold-hearted over the plight of alcoholics and their families, Mr. Gerson?
