I am not aware of anyone that has died from smoking marijuana. However, according to a new report by the CDC, “Methadone accounts for nearly 1 in 3 prescription painkiller overdose deaths in the U.S., even though only 2% of prescriptions for opioid painkillers are for this drug.” Methadone causes about 5,000 overdose deaths each year.
The war on drugs is senseless.
