Lew, I thought for a while that it might just be Merck that buries Perry. It’s certainly an Achilles Heel to the conservative image he’s trying to protect.
I predict that, when the chips are down, Perry’s mantra will be, “Kay’s just been in Washington too long.” If she does come back to the governor’s mansion in Texas, it’ll only be a way station for her to try coming back at the top of the ticket. She’s a very ambitious lady.
