About a year ago, I expressed disappointment when Mennonite Goshen College reversed its longstanding policy against playing the militaristic (and otherwise awful) “Star-Spangled Banner” at sporting events.
Now I’m pleased to see that they’ve gone back to the old policy and won’t be playing it anymore. Here’s the local news story, and here’s the press release. The news item was featured on the Drudge Report, so of course it is followed by a long series of hateful, mindless, bloodthirsty comments.
