As in the USSR, it is fascinating to see what the official US media trumpet. But it is far more interesting to try to understand wha’ happened when they suddenly cease covering a big story, or make a 180. Just the other day, it seems, one was a member of the KKK if one criticized Obama. Then, suddenly, he was under attack by everyone from the various US Pravdas to Jon Stewart (not much of a journey, to be sure). Clearly, Obama offended some very powerful pressure group. Today, the left-liberal Slate called him “Barry” in a headline, though they changed it. What’s next? Chris Matthews demanding to see his long-form birth certificate?
