McChrystal’s Confidential Memo

I can’t help but notice the elephant in the living room that the MSM is avoiding. They report that McChrystal’s note about needing more troops in Afghanistan was confidential, but that somehow the Washington Post got a copy. Then, they simply move on to discuss what are now the only two options that are deemed worthwhile to discuss: Should Obama and Congress keep troop levels the same, or should they send more troops?

Uh…the leaking of this confidential memo is obviously not an accident. This is a political maneuver. Obama is not ready to take a stand on this, most likely because the health reform debate is still ongoing and he is losing popularity. But, all previous indications are that the warmonger-in-chief wants to increase troops, so a little buzz can’t hurt. It keeps the conversation away from “Do we stay or do we go?” and the MSM is doing their part, as expected. They are avoiding this question of withdrawal as well as not questioning the basis for the whole non-event: that the memo was intentionally “leaked.”
