Loyola University in New Orleans Accused of Anti-Semitism

Regarding the way in which the Loyola University in New Orleans “Diversity Committee” has libeled Walter Block, and the administration’s non-response to it, a few observations: I have known members of the Loyola University-New Orleans economics department for many years. I recommended one of my star graduate students at George Mason University to them, who they hired twenty some years ago. I also recommended Walter Block to them for the endowed chair that he now occupies. The economics department there is very much a free-market, Austrian School department, and has been for years. In other words, members of the Loyola-New Orleans economics department have been saying and teaching the exact same things that Walter Block has been saying and teaching, on the subject of wage discrimination and much else, for a very long time. Everyone at Loyola-New Orleans, including the “Diversity Committee,” knows this.

But it is only Walter Block, the only Jew on the economics faculty, who has ever been attacked and libeled by university thought police for expressing these views. I hereby accuse the Loyola University in New Orleans Diversity Committee, and the university administration, of anti-Semitism. In keeping with the Diversity Committee’s own policies, it is now incumbent upon them to prove their innocence.

P.S. For those of you outside of academe, “diversity” means institutionalized race and gender discrimination against white males, who are routinely referrred to as “white male oppressors” or “beneficiaries of white male privilege” by the Marxist-inspired hatemongers who now dominate universities like Loyola.
