Unfortunately, we are going to hear the following: “If you are not breaking the law, then you have nothing to fear from this surveilance.” The War Street Journal recently editorialized to that effect regarding another of the fascist policies of the U.S. Department of Justice (sic).

Of course, it does not take long for the state to determine that even lawful conduct somehow breaks the law. Furthermore, why do conservatives think that somehow it is acceptable for us to always have to “prove” that we are law-abiding? Just like Oklahoma City in 1995, 9/11 has unleashed all of the fascist demons that are government.
