Losing Your Stuff, Federally-Mandated for Years!

Manuel, apparently DHS is simply following in the able footsteps of the DEA when it comes to losing stuff. The original link from the Forbes.com report is long dead now, but this money quote from an old article sums it up nicely.

The majority of stolen guns [lost by DEA] had been left in an official’s car, despite a policy prohibiting leaving a weapon unattended in a vehicle. The report cited examples of guns stolen from cars parked outside restaurants, hotels, schools and gyms. Some agents had their guns taken from their cars while they were shopping or getting coffee. One firearm was stolen while the car was at the body shop.

I still can’t get over the gun lost at the body shop. Long live the empire!
