That’s what the front page of Yahoo! News says in this story on the new, must-read book by Phillip Magness and Sebastian Page entitled Colonization After Emancipation. Based on the discovery of new documents uncovered in the British and American National Archives, the authors show that, contrary to the standard story told by historians, Lincoln was hard at work planning to deport all the freed slaves up to his final days. One of the authors tells me that he’s already received “hate emails” from Lincoln cultists.
