In the course of their analysis of the president’s State of the Union Address on NPR, the commentators mentioned libertarian Republicans in Congress. The only name I heard mentioned was that of Senator John Sununu (R-NH). But is that the best they can do? Sununu’s score on The New American magazine’s most recent Conservative Index was a 56. Ron Paul scored a 100, as usual. The Republicans are in such bad shape that anyone to the right of Ted Kennedy is considered a libertarian Republican.
