Libertarian Questions on Uganda

Uganda is in the news again. The U.S. government has announced that it is imposing sanctions on Uganda, including the suspension of some aid donations, because of the country’s laws against homosexuality. A joint military exercise with the Ugandan military has also been canceled. Many conservatives like this action of the USG because homosexuality is immoral. Leave it to libertarians to ask the important questions. For example, 1. Why should the USG be concerned with any laws passed in Uganda? 2. Why should Uganda be given any foreign aid in the first place? 3. What is the U.S. military doing holding joint military exercises with Uganda in the first place?
