“Libertarian” Centralism

I have to agree with Stephan on the point of criticizing the so-called libertarian centralists. We cannot have BOTH liberty and centralism, and if we have the latter, we will not have the former. The beauty of the federalist system is that it provided some checks against government abuse. To put it another way, it provided a mechanism by which to provide some limits upon the harm that government could do.

I have been writing a series for Freedom Daily on the courts and the New Deal. In doing my research for the series, I came to realize just how the courts cleared the way for abusive government on a large scale. One thing we need to remember is that as far as the courts are concerned, we still are in the New Deal.
