TF1 is a major national French TV channel. It made a stunning report quoting French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius who is visiting Syria. In this report he is quoted saying “Assad ne mériterait pas d’être sur la terre.” Translated: Assad should not be allowed on the earth or Assad does not deserve to be on the earth.
Fabius had already called Assad a butcher and already announced plans to consolidate gains made by the anti-Assad forces.
France has been one of several countries, including the U.S., participating in Assad’s overthrow for months now. His remark crystallizes the lawlessness of their activities on many levels. They have essentially eviscerated the UN by directly trashing the purposes and principles stated in its charter.
