Lamont and Sharpton

I never have had much use for Joe Lieberman, who in his first term as senator introduced a bill calling for five years in federal prison for gas station owners who raise prices without government permission. Here is a guy who is the ultimate neo-con: he supports war at home and abroad, the government being at war with business owners here and everyone else abroad.

That being said, Ned Lamont’s victory in the Connecticut primary did not make me any less fearful for the future. Flanking him during his victory speech were Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, two of the most evil people in public life today. Sharpton not only came to fame with the Tawana Brawley hoax, but is one of the people driving the false prosecution of the three Duke lacrosse players.

Moreover, I have no delusions about the anti-war left. With Cynthia McKinney praising Castro and Chavez in her “concession” speech, we see someone who supports dictators who give us gulags and the shooting of protesters. Some choice! Neo-cons and socialist leftists.
