Krugman: “Seriousness” Equals Blind Faith

It seems that not everyone is happy about Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek’s comments that Obama’s spending spree is paving the “road to hell.” Indeed, Paul Krugman is not happy at all and excoriates Topolanek in his “Bad Czech” posting on his blog. (Hey, Paul, really neat pun. Wow! You are clever, clever, clever!)

What does Krugman have to say about Topolanek’s warning?

…the utter unwillingness of many European leaders to come to grips with the scale of this crisis is a very real obstacle to action.

Yeah, we can tell that Topolanek is not serious. Indeed, he seems to be a lot more serious than Krugman who believes all that is needed is for the government to print lots of money. Just who is serious and who is the joker here?
