Karl Rove’s Advice to the Tea Parties

Says Karl, on his own site and on the IP-crazed WSJ:

Whatever you do, DO NOT start a new political party that might compete with the Republicans. And have nothing to do with Ron Paul.

[Some] see the tea party movement as a recruiting pool for volunteers for Ron Paul’s next presidential bid. [Rather than Jeb’s.] If tea party groups are to maximize their influence on policy, they must now begin the difficult task of disassociating themselves from cranks and conspiracy nuts….

They should pay insiders like you, Karl, and take your advice. But what if they do not want to “maximize their influence on policy,” that is, play the looting game, but want to end it? (Thanks to Travis Holte)
