Every year, we hear “progressive” people tell us that the only way to enjoy “safe” fireworks displays is to go to something run by “professionals.” Well, it seems that a “professional” show near Philadelphia went wrong last night and a number of spectators were injured.

How much do you want to bet that someone in the legislature will push a law to ban fireworks by private individuals, along with fireworks sales altogether? In other words, a big one goes “boom” in the wrong place, so obviously it “proves” that the backyard variety are too dangerous.

On the same note, we passed through South Carolina today, so my kids and I stocked up on real fireworks, not the “stays on the ground” wimp stuff that meets approval by the “progressive” legislature of Maryland.
