You still have time to get a Veterans Day card and mail it before the Friday holiday. I didn’t know there was such a thing until a good friend who is a veteran (yes, I have friends that are veterans) sent me one as a joke. He is a heroic veteran like I have mentioned that refuses to stand and be recognized and opposes foreign wars and recommends that young people not join the military. The card he sent is published by Tender Thoughts Greetings. He bought it in PA, but also saw them in DE. The card has a flag on the front with a Scripture verse inside on one side and a wish and a prayer on the other side that God will bless the veteran.
It seems as though the more wars and military interventions the USG undertakes, the more push there is to honor veterans. Does all the cheering for veterans serve to mask the true nature of what the military is really doing? Do people just wish to cheer so they don’t have to think? It is getting worse every year, that’s for sure. An Oregon lawmaker is proposing special veterans parking spaces.
