Joseph Shimon

In Roger Stone’s article, “The Kennedys Played Rough” (an excerpt from his wonderful book, Nixon’s Secrets: The Rise, Fall, and Untold Truth about the President, Watergate, and the Pardon), he mentions one of the Kennedy operatives who bugged Richard Nixon’s suite at the Ward Park Sheraton where he prepared for his second 1960 presidential TV debate with John Kennedy. That individual was Joe Shimon. I discussed the mysterious Mr. Shimon in an earlier LRC blog. Shimon closely worked with both private spooks Carmine Bellino and Robert Maheu who shared a D.C. office.
