John McCain: Incorrigible Warmonger

Speaking to Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing, Senator John McCain expressed his disappointment that billions more dollars from American taxpayers and hundreds more American lives were not going to be wasted in Iraq. Said McCain, “The truth is that this administration was committed to the complete withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq and they made it happen.” McCain made it clear that this is something he does not approve of. Although Panetta denied that this was the case, so what if it was? What could be better than any administration committing to the complete withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq?

I note also that McCain the other bloodthirsty warmongering Republicans accused the White House of “political expediency” in pulling out troops, saying that it would leave Iraq vulnerable to the influence of neighboring Iran. What about U.S. troops being vulnerable to dying in vain and for a lie? Don’t any Republican warmongers care about U.S. troops? I do. Every Republican senator worried about Iraq being vulnerable should send his own sons to die, lose a limb, or suffer a brain injury—not mine. I’m sure McCain would love a draft if he could get away with it.
