James Earl Bush

Wonder when he’s going to start wearing a cardigan sweater? Or driving an armored Prius?

WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)–In an echo from a famous speech by former President Jimmy Carter, President George W. Bush Wednesday told the American people one way to confront high energy prices is to change the way they use energy and to conserve more.

In addition, Bush said the U.S. is overly dependent on energy imports and ought to kick the habit.

“Yeah, we’re using a lot of it (energy), and we need to conserve better in the United States. And we’re dependent on energy from overseas, and we’ve got to become less dependent on energy from overseas,” Bush said.

“Look, we’re going to have to change our habits. We’re going to have to, you know, develop a hydrogen-powered automobile,” he added. “There’s no question the United States of America is hooked on foreign sources of energy.

By “foreign sources of energy,” do you suppose Dear Leader also means Canada and Mexico?
