It Was 50 Years Ago Today That Movie History Was Made

The very first ‘James Bond’ movie, Dr. No., opened in England on October 5, 1962. After this movie came out, movie action thrillers would never be the same. The film also launched what was to become know as the “spy craze” of the 1960s, in which many more movies and TV series based on spy themes were produced.

Here is the iconic rifle-barrel-taking-aim-at-‘James Bond’ opening of Dr. No that was used for most of the subsequent films in the ‘James Bond’ series.
