Issue agenda for McCain’s replacement

Here’s an issue agenda for the candidate who seeks to replace dead McCain walking as Obama’s real opponent. The criteria for this list are:

1. Obama and McCain are on the other side.
2. A large portion of the electorate is for it.

*Global warming skepticism
*No corporate welfare
*Medical marijuana and end fed role in marijuana enforcement
*End Afghanistan occupation
*Eliminate federal gas tax

All those issues are popular enough to win a plurality of votes in a large number of states and all would readily distinguish the candidate from Mutt and Jeff. (I exclude Iraq because the public erroneously thinks Obama will end that disaster. He won’t.)

You can take a horse to water but can’t make him drink.
